10-20 inches of snow today and tomorrow

Colorado is getting the big late season snow this May.  NOAA has issued both a Winter Storm Warning and a Winter Storm Watch for the Colorado mountains today that involve 10 to 20 inches of new snow falling today and tomorrow.

Just last week, Colorado got a foot of snow and a few days before that on May 10th, Arapahoe Basin, CO got 14″ of snow and had a helluva powder day.

“A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Front Range mountains from 6 PM this evening until 6 PM Tuesday. Look for 10-20 inches with the heaviest amounts above 10 thousand feet. Roads are expected to become slushy or snowpacked over the higher passes with the onset of heavier snowfall. Visibilities will also be reduced during the heavy snowfall from this evening through Tuesday morning.” – NOAA Denver

    1. Yeah about another week. I’m car camping a few miles down the road from A-Basin. Its been sooo good out here for the last month or so.
