Tahoe just got 6-16″ of snow on Thursday night/Friday morning.  Tahoe has another 18″ on tap for the weekend.  The storm comes in today and leaves on Sunday.

Isolated to scattered showers this afternoon will become more widespread precipitation across interior Northern California Friday morning as the next system moves into the area. Snow levels are expected to be around 5000 feet. Travel delays and chain controls are expected over Sierra passes. The heaviest snow is expected on Friday with 12 to 18 inches possible above 6000 ft through Saturday. Thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon mainly around the Interstate 80 corridor and South.
