It’s official!

The 2016/17 Northern California water year is the wettest year on record after last night’s precipitation plowed through 1982-83’s record of 88.5″ to 89.7″!

“Overnight precip officially makes California Department of Water Resources 8-Stn Index the wettest year on record with 89.7″ season to date, 207% of avg.” – US National Weather Service California Nevada River Forecast Center

NorCal is on fire and officially out of the historic 5-year drought and it’s not over yet.  Another 3.5″ of liquid precipitation is forecast the next 7 days.

Squaw Valley, CA picked up 6″ of snow overnight and it snow hard most of the day and it’s still snowing hard.

Squaw Valley has seen 692″ of snowfall this year…
