Up to 70cms (28”) of new snow has fallen in the alps overnight.  

“Heavy snow has blanketed the eastern Alps, dumping up to 70cm of the white stuff in places. The heaviest snow has fallen in parts of the Tirol and the Salzburgerland in Austria, but almost the whole region has at least a dusting this morning.”welove2ski.com

Many of the 9 ski resorts that are open for glacier skiing in the alps are going to be serving up some fun, low angle powder skiing today.  

Hintertux & Zillerta ski resorts got 40cms of new snow that their tops.  Stubai is claiming 70cms at the top.  Solden is reporting 40cms.

This snow may actually stay around as there is more snow forecasted for today and this weekend.
