We are sad to report that 42-year-old Stephen P. Adamson, Jr passed away Tuesday evening, May 19th, 2015 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.  Stephen died due to injuries sustained during a bad fall caused by a small avalanche on Mt. Moran last Saturday.  Stephen is survived by his wife and two children

Stephen was climbing the 3,100-vertical-foot, 45-degree Sickle Couloir with three other skiers when a small snow slide knocked three of them off their feet.  They fell 600-vertical-feet down the mountain.  Only Zahan Billimoria, 37, was not involved in the slide/fall.  Zahan quickly responded notifying 911 and administering first aid to the fallen climbers.

Unfortunately, Luke Lynch, 38, died on the scene and Stephen Adamson has now died from his injuries sustained in the fall.  Brook Yeomans, 37, was injured in the fall but able to ski out on his own power.

These were the 10th and 11th avalanche deaths in the USA this winter.

We are deeply saddened by these two deaths and extend our condolences to everyone involved.  Zahan, you rock – stay strong.
