Tahoe saw a nice little storm last night and Kirkwood was the winner with 16″ of new snow.  It’s forecasted to keep snowing today with up to an additional 6 inches falling throughout the morning hours.  The next system moves in on Friday and lasts through Sunday and is forecasted to drop up to 16 more inches of snow.

Kirkwood = 16″ of new snow

Sugar Bowl = 12″ of new snow

Squaw Valley = 10″ of new snow

Alpine Meadows = 6″ of new snow

It is looking like a great day in Tahoe today with a solid weekend on tap.

Squaw is reporting a 19-64″ base and they’ve now received 50-146″ of snow this season.

  PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW THROUGH 6 AM.

* ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 2 TO 4 INCHES AWITH LOCALLY UP TO
  6 INCHES ALONG THE SIERRA CREST.

* SNOW LEVELS: LAKE LEVEL.

* WIND GUSTS: 30 TO 50 MPH OVER RIDGES AND UP TO 25 MPH AT LAKE
  LEVEL.
