Boreal ski resort on Donner Summit, CA will reopen for one day this Saturday, June 15th.  They’ll be open to the public from 10am – 2pm.

SnowBrains will have a reporter on the hill to bring you a full report of the fun on Monday.

This is our last chance for skiing and riding from a chairlift in California this season.

Since they closed, they’ve been stockpiling snow (like the Russians for Sochi) in the shade of trees for this day.

Boreal today at 10:15am.

“We spent 3 weeks farming it from every corner of the resort.  4 cats, 8 hours a day just crushing it.    They’ve moved it all into this center vain, thy piled it up nice and deep for us.  Once they push this around it’ll be bright white, we’ll have jumps and rails and half pipe, it’ll be going off.” – Chris Hargrave of Woodward Tahoe told KCRA News

After Saturday the skiing and riding will continue, but just for Woodward Tahoe summer camps.  Kids will get to dial in their tricks on trampolines, ramps, and foam pits indoors then take those skills outside and test them on the real thing.
