Remember that pre-Thanksgiving storm in 2014 that dumped 7-feet of snow in Buffalo, New York?  Yeah, that snow is still there according to WGRZ-TV.

They’re reporting that there are still two snow piles from that monster storm that are around 10-feet high in spots that live in vacant lots at the Central Terminal on the east side of the city.

That pile of snow is like a glacier,” adding “It’s very dense and it’s covered in dirt and garbage, which acts to insulate the snow from the sun’s rays. That’s what melts the snow, not just the heat but the sun’s rays, and it’s protected.” – meteorologist Patrick Hammer

This snow has been around for 8 months!  Wow.

The two piles that are left look like dirt as a result of all the snow that has melted and released it’s dirty contents in the pile.

Boston’s own snow piles made it into July this year.  A crazy year for East Coast snow…
