California was forecast to get blasted with snow and wind last night and that forecast came true.  

Tahoe ski resorts saw up to 30″ of new snow the past two days and Mammoth saw 56″…

The skiing & riding in CA was solid today with these epic chairs open in deep powder snow:

  • KT-22 at Squaw Valley
  • Summit Chair at Alpine Meadows
  • Chair 10 & 6 at Kirkwood
  • Lincoln & Disney Chairs at Sugar Bowl
  • Chair 22 at Mammoth

This storm came is as rain below 7,000-feet then switched to all snow last night.  Mammoth got no rain and therefore HUGE snowfall totals…

The storm also came with big wind with Squaw seeing gusts of 100mph last night with continued gusts into the 60mph range during the day today (see graph above).
