Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows now close at 2pm beginning today.  They informed skiers and riders today at 10am via Facebook.  Those of us that were at the hill didn’t know this until 2pm when we were told that the lifts were closed.  Many people were surprised by this abrupt change in operation.

The skiing at Squaw was good today.  It was a hot day and Headwall was skiing great.  The Face, Cornice II Bowl, and North Bowl had hot soft bumps and slarvy snow on everything.  Headwall is going to be skiing great all week.

KT still holding snow but melting fast. KT is closed for the season.

The lower mountain is losing about a foot of snow per day right now so get up here before it’s too late.

  1. cant speak for squaw but alpine told us it would be 9-2 starting the 16th on monday… it was on the website

    1. They did send an email out last night to ski school employees. So, if you know a ski school employee, you may have heard it through the grapevine yesterday. Not a big deal, just surprising to the people on the hill today as know one knew.
