Lindsey Vonn reportedly injured her knee today at Copper Mountain ski resort in Colorado in a ski training crash.  It is currently unclear if the knee injured today was the same knee that she blew her ACL on last February.  It is also not known how bad today’s injury is.

“No details yet.  Yes she did crash did crash and it’s being evaluated now.” – US Ski team in an email to NBC Sports

The knee must not be feeling great, however because Lindsey is scheduled for an MRI today.

The crash and subsequent injury happened during a training run at Copper Mountain, CO today.  Lindsey is currently training for her first competition since her ACL injury last February.  that competition will be at Beaver Creek, CO next week.

Initial reports spoke of Lindsey having been taken off the mountain in a ski patrol sled.  This image from Twitter makes it appear as if she was able to leave the ski course on her feet, but with the help of two other people.

There are less than 100 days between now and the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic games that Lindsey is currently training for.

As details about this crash become more clear, we’ll update them here.
