Loveland Ski Area, CO was one of the first ski resort in North America to fire up their snow guns. They started making snow just after midnight and as of early this morning, they were still going. The resort hopes to open up in mid-late October.

Temperatures are expected to dip well below freezing tonight, which should call for some additional snowmaking. Along with that, there is a chance of snow throughout the day today and the remainder of the week. Ski season is rapidly approaching, so start tuning those boards and skis.
