Mad River Glen Snow Report: Winter Has Sprung!

While it has been a slightly slow start to the season in the northeast, the weather has turned to winter and resorts are quickly making up for it. Vermont has been the center of attention as of late with many resorts picking up snow totals well into the double digits over the past week. The forecast is looking bright too as a small system tapers off today to make way for another one later in the week.

Not too shabby.

As many people begin to satisfy their itch for skiing with groomer laps on man-made snow at their nearest open resort, it’s good to note that it won’t be long before we can dive deep into some of the best tree skiing available. Mad River Glen is working hard towards opening the mountain by firing up their snowmaking systems and with some additional help of 8-16 inches of natural snow over the weekend, it won’t be too long to ski it if you can!

Looks like good snow though!

With a projected opening date of December 10th and a couple storms between now and then, it’s looking like a very happy holiday season in Vermont.
