Opening Day @ Mt. Baker was Sick | Photo Tour

Yesterday was opening day at Mt. Baker ski area in Washington.  There was 16” of powder and a 40” base and the place was looking fine.

Baker opened all 8 of their lifts and both of their base areas.  Yes, baker was 100% open on opening day with 16 inches of Fresh.  Many of us in the Lower Western USA didn’t get a single day this good last year… or the year before.

Professional photographer Grant Gunderson and professional skier Zach Giffin were at Baker on opening day and they made the place look magical.  Baker is clearly off to a good start in 2012/13.  If you live in Northern Washington, you’re stoked.
