NOAA is forecast a Pacific storm entering Lake Tahoe, CA today and dropping a bit of snow as low as 7,000-feet.  It doesn’t sound like it’ll add up to much nor stay around, but it does mean one very important thing:  Winter is almost here…

Precipitation is headed to the west coast.  This is the 6-10 day outlook.

NOAA Sacramento:

A Pacific weather system will begin to impact the region today bringing much cooler temperatures along with gusty southerly winds. Precipitation will begin to spread inland from the coast tonight and Wednesday resulting in slick roads. Some light snowfall accumulation will be possible over the I-80 and US-50 passes over the northern Sierra Nevada early Wednesday.
