The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for California. It remains in effect until 10:00am on Saturday Morning. High winds and heavy snowfall is forecasted to impact the area throughout that time. The heaviest of which is expected to occur from 2:00pm Today through Midnight.

Up To 20″ of Additional Snowfall Through Saturday Morning.

Snow levels are expected to fluctuate between 1,000ft and 2,500ft throughout the rest of the storm.

...BLIZZARD WARNING HAS EXPIRED...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Strong winds will cause whiteout
  conditions in blowing and drifting snow at times. Additional
  snow accumulations of 8 to 14 inches, with localized amounts up
  to 20 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Saturday. Heaviest snowfall rates most
  likely between 2 PM and midnight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Damage
  to trees and power lines is possible. Be prepared for
  significant reductions in visibility at times.
