NOAA’s Official April Outlook for the USA

NOAA just released their outlook for April 2015 in the USA.  They also released the above video discussing their Spring outlook for the USA.

The precipitation outlook is showing above average precipitation in April for Utah, Colorado, Newmosico, Texas and the Southeast.  Below average precipitation is forecast for the Pacific Northwest and the North Central region of the USA.

NOAA’s temperature outlook for April 2015 in the USA is showing well above average temperatures in all of the Western USA including Alaska.  Below average temperatures are forecast in Texas, New Mexico, and the Northeast.

It’s tough to say what this forecast says for skiing and riding in the USA this April/Spring…  Utah and Colorado have above average precipitation forecast and that’s good, but really, you’re best bet will be to go where the snowpack is deepest.
