Temperature forecast for November, December, January 2013-14.  EC = Equal Chances.  A = Above Average.  Most of the USA is forecasted to have above average temperatures during these period.

This NOAA 2013/14 winter weather forecast was updated as of August 15th, 2013.  This forecast is for November, December, and January of winter 2013/14.

The Temperature forecast shows most all of the USA experiencing above average temperatures this November, December, and January.  The Pacific Northwest and Southeast are forecasted to have near average temperatures during this forecast period.  Southern Alaska is forecasted to have below average temperatures during this period.

Precipitation forecast for November, December, January 2013-14. Most the USA with near average precipitation forecasted. Montana/Idaho/Wyoming region with above average precipitation as well as Oklahoma/Arkansas/Texas/Missouri region. The Southeast shows below average precipitation forecasted.

The Precipitation forecast has a couple of bright spots.  Montana is showing Above Average Precipitation along with much of Idaho and just enough of Wyoming.  There are some great ski resorts within this zone and they are listed below.

Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Texas are also forecasted to receive above average precipitation in November, December, and January of winter 2013/14.  

The Southeast of the USA is forecasted to receive below average precipitation during November, December, and January of winter 2013/14.

The ski resorts forecasted to receive Above Average Precipitation are some great ones:  

Big Sky, MT (the biggest ski resort in USA after combining with Moonlight Basin in August)

  1. Noaa are the only ones predicting above avg temps for Midwest and great lakes there are multiple weather agency’s and forecasters predicting cold weather
