The best thing about these snow totals is that all these resorts are still open daily (Crystal open Sat, Sun, Mon).  The forecast at Mt. Bachelor is for 10 more inches the next 2 days:

18” of new snow and 27F at Mt. Bachelor, OR on May 22nd and they’re open?  It’s hard to believe.  Bachelor is open everyday until Sunday when they shut down for the year.  The Sammy Carlson Invitational goes down this weekend at Bachelor and will be a great show if the weather mellows out.

It’s certainly been a roller coaster with the weather this year in North America.  We’ll ride this last high right through the finish line.

  1. Despite your pics from timberline… they did not open on May 22 , Timberline was reporting 100 inch base but stated that the upper lifts had no visibililty and the the lower lifts did not have enough snow. Then on May 23 timberline opened the lower mountain. They are messed up…..
It was very warm in early May probably in the 50’s at timberline ……
