After nearly 2 FEET of natural snowfall and extensive snowmaking in the past week, Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado have a great head start on winter. Forecasts are calling for the best snowmaking temperatures of the season early next week, which could allow the resorts to open up.

NOAA’s detailed forecast for Arapahoe Basin/Loveland Ski Area.

The National Weather Service is calling for lows early next week that may dip into the high teens, which would provide the resorts with hours of snowmaking temperatures.

The Weather Channel’s extended forecast for Arapahoe Basin/Loveland Ski Area.

The Weather Channel is calling for a few days next week that may not even get above 32 degrees, which would allow the resorts to make snow all day long. After that, lows are expected to stay well into the 20’s, which would make for a lot of snow to be made.
