The snow at Squaw Valley, CA was simply dreamy today.

Squaw reported 22-29″ of new snow in the past 24 hours this morning.  The day started stormy and ended sunny.

Deep, dry, fluffy, excellent for hucking, splendiferous for turning, hilarious to share with friends, powder snow.

One of the best days I can remember at Squaw.

The snow was impressively deep and dry and just…  dreamy.

KT-22 was simply silly.  You could huck any and everything.  Eagles Nest, Middle Finger, Main Air, Sisters,

Amazing wipeouts everywhere.  I had an incredible one.  My buddies had some ferocious ones as well.  But it didn’t matter because it was so deep and soft.

KT didn’t open yesterday, so it was extra deep in there today.

KT-22 opened at 11am.

Squaw Creek opened late around 1pmish.

The Tram opened at 2pm and allowed access to Broken Arrow.  I didn’t get up there, but it looked unreal.

Squaw opened KT-22, Far East, Red Dog, Squaw Creek, Tram.  No Funitel today.

  1. Sure, You could dream all you want, but you could not ski the light powder.

Sweet spot would be Tue-Wed. Closed Tuesday for understandable
reasons -tragic death of a patroller. Wednesday was bizarre. Top lifts
that would access the powder were mostly closed. Even closed Gold
Coast mid-day because a few skiers traversed toward Siberia (below
accident site) . .Thurs -Fri old snow somewhat gone.

Got an opinion? Let us know...
