Stress, Snowfall, and the Inner Child

This animated short film “Stress, Snowfall, and the Inner Child” by Mike Biagiotti captures the essence of why many of us ski.  When the daily grind becomes too daunting or when everything seems to be going awry skiing is always there to bring us peace within.  Whether your escape is a remote backcountry line or a day at your home resort, getting up and out on the mountain will inevitably lighten your mood and raise your spirits.

Mike’s film was accepted into the  Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival 2013.  If you like what you saw, go ahead and give him a vote on the Cold Smoke Co. website (doing so will also put your name in a drawing to win a two-day, two-person cat skiing trip to Powder Mountain in Whistler, BC and $1,000 cash!).

A bit about Mike:

Originally from Long Island, NY, I have lived in Southern California since I was 9 yrs old.  I grew up in the punk rock surf and skateboard culture of the 1980’s.  This gave me a strong DIY mentality and a healthy suspicion of the main stream.  Suprisingly, I attended Pepperdine University, which is a small Christian university in Malibu.  After graduating with a degree in advertising, I dedicated myself to artistic self-expression through music and visual art.
