Telluride, Colorado is a paradise by any standard. Unreal skiing, great ice climbing, stunning scenery, good people, clean air, and legal marijuana. Starting this month, you’ll be able to buy marijuana for recreational use in Colorado and Telluride is leading the ski town charge.

Telluride (population 2,300) has 4 marijuana dispensaries with all of them downtown. Other ski towns aren’t quite so into it. Some of them banned marijuana dispensaries and Breckenridge has forced the weed shops out of their downtown area.

Telluride is looking forward to the financial rewards of marijuana tourism. They’ve even fast tracked permits to get pot shops open ASAP and they’re allowing the shops to grow plants within the city limits.
