Frank Carpino has lived with pain his entire life. He was first diagnosed with a Desmoid Tumor at 2 weeks old. Frank hasn’t had a time in his life where he wasn’t having surgery or radiation, so skiing gave him a sense of freedom. He is currently on hospice, but he was able to ski for the first time in his life. The first-time skier was joined by his Boy Scout Troop at Wisconsin’s Cascade Mountain. He was able to steer himself down the mountain in a biski. To assist him with the process, a ski instructor from Adaptive Adventures was by his side.
