Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, CO fired up their snow guns around 8:00pm last night. They were on for over 12 hours, which put a nice blanket of snow on the runs. The race to open is officially on, as Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin are going head-to-head.
Temperatures are expected to drop well below freezing tonight, which will allow for more snowmaking at the resort. Along with the natural snow that is expected to fall throughout the week, these resorts are off to a good start.
