These images are composite images showing the snow cover in the USA in February 2015.  The Northeast is buried in snow, while the west remains nearly snowless.

The east to west contrast in the photos is stark and reflects the stark snowfall contrast from east to west this year.  The west is experiencing one of it’s lowest snowfalls on record while the east is seeing one of it’s snowiest winters on record.

New York and New England received over a foot more snow than average in February this year.

Each images is a composite of about 60 satellite photos taken between February 1st and March 5th 2015.
