SLash
Finding a little stash today off of the Glacier T-bar.  A little cloudy in the morning, but cleared up later in the day.

This weekend was super fun out on Whistler Blackcomb with fast, chalky snow and the occasional stash of untracked snow.  This last week had a mix of sun and clouds with little to no precipitation.  Even though we have not seen that much new snow the wind and a couple centimeters here and there did a lot for the resort.  It buffed out everything and made for fast hardpack skiing.  The alpine snow was movable in some areas but mostly was firm.

Turning through Diamond bowl in Spankey’s. Some fast snow out there.

The 1cm overnight felt like 5cm with the way it was distributed across the mountain from the wind.  We skied on Blackcomb the entire day lapping Spankey’s.  Everything was relatively skied out but there were pockets of good snow.  Everything skied fast a fairly predictably.  The steeper sections of Spankey’s where moguls do not normally form were really fun to ski.  Although it was not that soft, some smaller hits were fun to ski as the outruns were smooth and fast.

Looking into this next week, we can see a new storm system coming through that will give the mountain an awesome refresh.  Enjoy the nice weather while we have it and expect some snow in the coming days!
