Whistler, B.C. To OPEN One Week Early on November 19th

Whistler ski resort in B.C., Canada just announced that they will be opening early on Thursday, November 19th.  This opening will be a week ahead of schedule.  Blackcomb will open as scheduled on November 26th.

Whistler has been getting big early season snow including 25″ of new snow in the past 7 days bringing their base at 5,300-feet to 20″.

What Will Be Open at Whistler on Opening Day:

• Creekside Gondola
• Emerald Express
• Big Red Express
• Franz’s Chair

Whistler Mountain will be opening one week ahead of schedule on Thursday, November 19. The early opening has been made possible thanks to favourable early season conditions, including natural snowfall and prime temperatures for snowmaking. Blackcomb Mountain will open as scheduled on November 26.
