According to park officials, 2 men are facing federal criminal charges after walking on the world-famous Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park on Tuesday, September 10th 2019.

The two men were caught on camera by bystander Kimberly Guilliams.

“So this happened this past Tuesday at Old Faithfull. They even leaned more over the opening but just didnt get a photo. They were caught, reports were filed and I submitted photos to the Park Ranger. We were in total disbelief and the complete stupidity of these guys.” – Kimberly Guilliams via Facebook

Walking off the boardwalks of Yellowstone is strictly prohibited and dangerous.

Old Faithful erupts with boiling water every hour.

The two men have been charged with Thermal Trespassing.

Several people have been cited for walking too close to Old Faithful in recent years and some have been burned badly after stepping or falling into Yellowstone’s thermal features.
