If you wanna ski from a lift, you’ve only got these two choices left in North America: Timberline and Whistler. Both are veterans in the summer skiing and riding realm and both have race courses, moguls, and terrain parks to keep people entertained.
A quick plane ride down to New Zealand, Australia, or South America will get you all the chairlift access skiing and riding you need. Plenty of ski resorts open down there already.
CLOSING DATES FOR SKI RESORTS IN N. AMERICA:
– Timberline, OR = September
– Whistler Blackcomb, B.C. = July 28th
– Jackson Hole Tram, WY = until the snow runs out… (this is still doable as of a few weeks ago.)
– Snowbird Tram, UT = until the snow runs out… (Check out the above video from June 24th: Main Chute, Alta)
