It’s official!

The 2016/17 Northern California water year is the wettest year on record after last night’s precipitation plowed through 1982-83’sย record of 88.5″ to 89.7″!

“Overnight precip officially makes California Department of Water Resources 8-Stn Index the wettest year on record with 89.7″ season to date, 207% of avg.” –ย US National Weather Service California Nevada River Forecast Center

NorCal is on fire and officially out of the historic 5-year drought and it’s not over yet. ย Another 3.5″ of liquid precipitation is forecast the next 7 days.

Squaw Valley, CA picked up 6″ of snow overnight and it snow hard most of the day and it’s still snowing hard.
