Mt. Bachelor ski resort in Oregon has already gotten 101″ of snow at mid-mountain this winter and they already have a 50″ base.  They’ve gotten more snow than anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest this winter.  Not bad.

NOAA is currently forecasting a storm that will drop 21″ of snow on Bachelor in the next 3 days.  This storm should give Bachelor enough snow to get their legendary Northwest chair open for the season.  The Northwest chair is where you wanna be at Bachelor on a powder day.

The Summit chair very well may open after this storm as well.  They’ve certainly got plenty of snow up high on Bachelor already.  They just need a calm day to get the top open so people can launch themselves off the Enormous cornice/wind lip playground that forms up there.

Get ready for a big week at Mt. Bachelor, OR.

  1. Is this what the forecast is still saying? Just checked NOAA and the significant snowfall is nowhere to be seen…
