Mammoth ski resort is the only ski resort open in California and they’re expecting 4-12 inches of snow today and tomorrow.  Mammoth plans on closing on Sunday…  unless they get enough snow out of this storm to stay open another week.

The pins represent areas where there is a 90-95% of snow today.  Mammoth is one of them.

NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for today and tomorrow with up to a foot of new snow forecast for the Pacific Crest.

Mammoth just might close the season on a couple of powder days.  The SnowBrains crew just got to Mammoth last night and we’ll be reporting from the hill the next few days to keep you posted on this potential snowfall.

As of right now, it’s 40ºF in town, breezy, and crystal clear.
