Four people were arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly drag racing luxury sports cars on Teton Park Road in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. The incident, which unfolded around 5 p.m., prompted a coordinated response from 12 National Park Service rangers and resulted in the impounding of at least two vehicles.

Authorities said the drivers, whose identities and specific car models have not been disclosed, were associated with Nu Rally’s invite-only “OutRun” event, which caters to supercar and hypercar owners and traverses scenic routes from Washington to Las Vegas. Despite Nu Rally’s explicit terms prohibiting competitive driving and requiring compliance with all traffic laws, reports indicate that the group was observed racing in both lanes of the park’s two-lane road, creating hazardous conditions for visitors, staff, and wildlife.

Grand Teton Superintendent Chip Jenkins condemned the conduct, telling USA Today, “This kind of behavior is unsafe, irresponsible, and completely unacceptable in a national park. It puts visitors, staff, and wildlife at serious risk.” The park, which draws more than 3 million visitors annually, enforces reduced speed limits to protect both people and animals that frequently cross its roads without warning.

No injuries to park staff, visitors, or wildlife were reported as a result of the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, with the possibility of additional charges being filed.

Nu Rally, which offers participants luxury accommodations and professional media coverage for entry fees ranging from $900 to nearly $14,000, has not commented publicly on the arrests. Social media posts from the rally’s recent events show participants being pulled over by law enforcement, underscoring ongoing concerns about compliance with traffic regulations.

Park officials reminded all visitors to obey posted speed limits, remain alert for wildlife, and respect the safety of others while enjoying the park’s scenic byways.
