Above normal temperatures are likely for Alaska due to the strong ridge predicted over the northern Pacific. Below normal temperatures are favored for the western and north-central CONUS. High probabilities of below normal temperatures are also indicated for parts of the northern High Plains, and above-normal temperatures for most of the eastern and south-central CONUS.
Above-normal precipitation is favored for most of the CONUS. Very high chance of above-normal precipitation over parts of the southwestern CONUS and southern California. Above normal precipitation is also likely for much of Alaska. Conversely, below-normal precipitation is favored for the Alaska Panhandle and the northwestern CONUS, and below-normal precipitation is also favored for the Florida Peninsula.
