Northern Chile has had a slow start to the ski season this summer. None of the northern Chile ski resorts have been able to open yet due to a major lack of snow. That may all be about to change as 80″ of snow is forecast for ski resorts in northern Chile.
Valle Nevado, one of the most popular ski areas in Chile that sits just outside of Chile’s capital city of Santiago, is forecast to receive 207cms (81″) of snow this week by snow-forecast.com.
If this snowfall comes through the way its forecast to, northern Chilean ski resorts will certainly be able to get open this week.
