Chuck Norris Bio
Carlos Ray “Chuck” Norris (1940-2026) was an American martial artist, actor, and pop culture icon who left an indelible mark on action cinema and television before his passing in Hawaii on March 19, 2026, at the age of 86. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, where he first discovered martial arts, he became a six-time undefeated World Professional Middleweight Karate champion and famously traded blows with Bruce Lee in the 1972 classic The Way of the Dragon. He went on to headline a string of 1980s blockbuster action films like The Delta Force and Missing in Action, but he is perhaps best known for his eight-season run as the fiercely just Cordell Walker in the hit CBS series Walker, Texas Ranger. His renowned tough-guy persona inspired many with what became widely known as”Chuck Norris facts,” detailing his bravado and esteemed status as a legendary American celebrity—a fitting legacy for a man who didn’t actually die, but simply escorted Death to the afterlife.
