Boyne Resorts is a family-owned and operated business comprising ten different resorts across North America. Over the last decade, the company has led the industry in lift innovation and development. Following the addition of 20 new lifts over the previous five seasons, it will be adding another two this season as well as numerous other exciting upgrades and new experiences.

Northeast

Sunday River, ME

Sunday River has doubled its snowmaking capacity on Baker and Locke Peaks by adding another pump house along the already existing water line.

Sugarloaf, ME

Sugarloaf introduced its new bike park this past summer. While nothing new is being added for this winter season, after last season’s 120-acre terrain expansion, Sugarloaf plans to develop a new slope-side neighborhood called Snowcross in the same area.

Loon Mountain, NH

Loon Mountain has enhanced its snowmaking capabilities on North Peak, the resort’s highest point. It has also added a new carpet lift called Lil Sass, which is shorter than the existing Sarsaparilla carpets. This addition should significantly enhance the experience for first-time visitors.

Pleasant Mountain, ME

Pleasant Mountain will be joining Loon, Sunday River, and Sugarloaf on the New England Gold pass, which offers unlimited skiing with no blackout days. You can grab your pass now by following this link here.

Boyne Mountain, MI

Igloo Snow and Ice Bar, a new après spot at the summit of Boyne Mountain, will make its debut this season.

The Highlands, MI

The Highlands will be holding its inaugural Swing and Slide competition this season, where participants will have the chance to ski and golf five holes on the Camelot slope.

Rocky Mountains

Big Sky, MT

Big Sky is wrapping up a decade-long plan to modernize its lift infrastructure with the completion of its brand new Explorer Gondola. Starting at the main village, Explorer will provide direct access to the bottom of the new tram introduced last year, creating a truly top-to-bottom experience that allows even non-skiers to access the peak of Lone Mountain. There is also a midway station along the gondola that will eventually be developed into a new mid-mountain beginners area.

Brighton, UT

Brighton is getting festive this year with the addition of the Holiday House, a Christmas-themed lodge offering themed food and drinks for visitors during the holiday season.

Northwest

Summit at Snoqualmie and Alpental, WA

Alpental upgraded the legendary Edelweiss Chair this offseason, converting it into a triple chair, which will increase uphill capacity by 40% and decrease ride time by 30%.

Cypress Mountain, BC

Cypress Mountain is nearly doubling its snow tubing operation and relocating it to a more central location, where food and bathrooms are more conveniently accessible.

In some parts of the country, the first snow has already arrived, so get your passes while they’re still available. Boyne Resorts offers a variety of interesting season pass products. All of Boyne’s resorts except Pleasant Mountain are included on the Ikon Pass as well, making it an excellent deal for Ikon Pass holders. Boyne Resorts pass holders can also add an Ikon Pass for $799 or an Ikon Base Pass for just $299, and unlock a 50% discount on lift tickets at Mountain Collective resorts.
