St. Moritz and Badrutt’s Palace, one of St. Moritz’s most exclusive hotels, are partnering with the Peninsula Hotel in New York City to bring you a Swiss experience in Chalet de Ning in the Peninsula’s rooftop bar. The pop-up emulates an evening at Paradiso, the on-mountain club owned since last season by Badrutt’s Palace. Paradiso is located on the slopes of the Corviglia ski area at 6,000ft and offers drinks and food with a gorgeous view up and down the Engadin Valley.

The Engadin Valley is a 50-mile-long valley in the southeast of Switzerland, close to the border with Italy, and is situated at an altitude of 5,540ft – 5,955ft. The area is home to several of the most picturesque villages in all of Switzerland, including St. Moritz, and features several picturesque lakes and expansive ski areas. Corviglia is located facing the sun, right above St. Moritz, while Corvatsch is on the mountain range across from St. Moritz. You can ski from Corvatsch to Corviglia via the Hahnensee run and take the Signal gondola up to Corviglia. From here it is only one chair lift to the Paradiso restaurant, which looks directly at the Corvatsch ski area and across lake Silvaplana. Combined the two ski areas offer 175 miles of groomed runs.

Situated on the West Terrace of the 23rd floor of the Peninsula Hotel is a cozy yet glamorous pop-up inside two clear bubbles. The inside is warmly furnished with rugs and sheep skins, and the staff give you a special menu to bring you the flavors of the Engadin region of Switzerland. Try their signature truffle fondue or their smoked trout rillette and finish it with a chocolate fondue. Make sure to sample the two signature cocktails, the St. Moritzino and the Winter Spritz.

Why not get into the mood for the 22/23 ski season while sampling some Swiss favorites and visit the pop-up on the Peninsula Hotel if you happen to be in NYC.
