Alaska Airlines Offering Free Lift Tickets at 8 North American Ski Resorts This Season

You can redeem free lift tickets at eight North American ski resorts with your Alaska Airlines boarding pass this winter as part of the airlines’ “Ski Free” program. | Photo courtesy Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines has a unique program this season allowing you to ski free at eight different North American ski resorts this season by showing your boarding pass at the ticket office of each resort. But there’s a catch.

The “Ski Free” program offers free lift tickets to boarding pass holders as long as they head straight from the airport to the slopes and ski that same day, with the exception of one ski resort (Ski Marmot Basin).

Here are the resorts that you can get free lift tickets to with an Alaska Airlines boarding pass, along with travel times to the resorts from the nearest airports:

Alaska:

  • Alyeska Ski Resort50 minutes from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Valid day of arrival only.
  • Eaglecrest Ski Area – 15 minutes from Juneau International Airport. Valid day of arrival only.

Idaho 

  • Schweitzer Mountain Resort – 1.5 hours from Spokane International Airport, Wash. Valid day of arrival only.
  •  Bogus Basin – 50 minutes from Boise Airport. Valid day of arrival only.

Montana 

  • Whitefish Mountain Resort – 30 minutes from Kalispell Glacier Park International Airport. Valid day of arrival only.
  • Red Lodge Mountain – 1.5 hours from Billings Logan International Airport. Valid day of arrival only.

Canada 

  • RED Mountain Resort – 2 hours 45 minutes from Spokane International Airport, Wash. Valid day of arrival only.
  • Ski Marmot Basin – 4 hours from Edmonton International Airport. Valid 21 days upon arrival.
