That’s right, Wayne Wong, baby. Glen Plake was rippin’ around at Alpine today, as well. The glory days of Tahoe skiing were alive and well today at Alpine Meadows, California.
Wayne was on a new concept ski called the Legend Ski with Anton Suspension. The suspension system makes the ski feel like it’s floating vs. bouncing along on the snow.
“The suspension system absorbs the shock from the snow and makes it a very smooth ride.” – Wayne Wong

We haven’t tried these new skis (only a few have) but we can tell you that Wayne was skiing viciously smooth out there today.
ALPINE CONDITIONS TODAY:
The skiing was a touch better than yesterday as it was a smidgin colder last night. Definitely a few more skiers and riders on the hill today compared to yesterday. People weren’t passing on the last chance to ski at a resort in Tahoe this year.

Conditions were fun. A bit crispy right at 9am, then progressively slushier every run. The afternoon got a bit sticky once the thermometer hit 75F. Yeah, it was hot, people were sunburned, the skiing was fun, and the beer was cold.
The band Huckle played and it ended up feeling like one of the busiest days of the year. A solid little Sunday afternoon party.

There’s still in Tahoe up high. If you’re willing to hike, there’s a couple more weeks of Tahoe skiing left out there. But it’s goin’ fast…

So much fun out there, sad that KSL decided to Fu$# us all over as we could be skiing for at least a few more weeks. Upper mountain at Squaw is still holding up pretty well. I guess theres always Mammoth, snowbird and a-basin for us die hards…
Bike season.
Good party today. Definitely sunburned
I met plake today. Diamond in the tooth!
