The recent huge snow totals in the Alps has led to two resorts posting 10-FEET base depths already.
The Presena glacier area at Passo Tonale in Trentino, Italy and Austria’s Pitztal glacier are both reporting over 10-feet of snow at their summits.
Cervinia in Italy is also claiming that they have had 8-feet of snowfall at higher elevations in the last week.
The snowfall has led to high avalanche danger across the Alps, and the FIS canceled the Stubai World Cup event scheduled this weekend due to the snow levels and avalanche risk.
