Brought to you by Alta Ski Area

Riding chairlifts again yesterday for the first time in 176-days was Awesome!

Alta skied like a dream today after 2″ of fresh snow overnight and 89″ already this season.

Everything you’d hope for on Opening Day was on tap: cold temps, good snow, hard crashes, great off-piste, mid-day terrain openings, small lifelines, snow guns blaring, good friends, and plenty of skiing. We loved the tribute to Farmer Dave….

Only the Collins and Wildcat Chairs were open and that was plenty.

Skiing right under the Collins Chair was great.

Skiing right under Wildcat was also a blast.

We also liked cutting way out on the Low Traverse into High Rustler.

We did one run around the backside near the Greely area.

Fresh tracks out there, but it was a few inches of pow on a crust so it was a little weird.

Thanks for a great day #1, Alta!
