Chairlifts…

I forgot how great they are.

Lap after lap.

Smile after covered smile.

Rhythm.

Yesterday was the first day of this season where I really felt my skis.

Martin and I met up with my boss at Ice Axepeditions and his son:  Doug and Ty.

We cranked laps off the Collins, Wildcat, and Sugarloaf lifts.

Collins was a blast with little side-hits all over and fast, fun groomers.

Very few people out and no lines at all after 10am yesterday.

There was never a line on Wildcat.

The off-piste I encountered off Wildcat was crusty and unpredictable and my early season legs weren’t ready for it.

I’m diggin’ the mask now, especially on these cold days, it really keeps you a lot warmer.

And I’m saving a ton of money on sunscreen!  he he

We cranked laps from opening until 11am when I hit the road to Jackson Hole.

The drive to Jackson was dreamy with no snow at all.

I’d never seen those yawning Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho valleys without snow.

They’re gorgeous…
