Report from Friday 18th December 2020 and brought to you by Alta Ski Area

At Alta Ski Area, UT, visibility went down and stoke went up. It was our second day of the week skiing Alta and we got a bit of a late start, arriving around 12:30 pm. We were excited to hit the slopes even though we were not expecting a lot of snowfall for the day. As we rode up the Wildcat chair, visibility went spooky and we descended into the void.

We decided to stick to groomers since visibility was so low. The groomers were great to shred and we lapped the Wildcat chair for the majority of the day. Once it cleared up a little bit, we explored Punch Bowl and Bear Paw and had fun sending some cliffs and jumps.

Right now, Alta has four lifts open, but more to come with storms in sight. We are eager for more lifts and runs to open as the season comes into full swing. The groomers at Alta are great for the thin snow conditions at the moment. Some off-trail stuff is super fun too, as long as you bring your rock skis!
