Arapahoe Basin, CO, will close for the season on Sunday, June 5th, bringing an end to the longest season in Colorado.

A-Basin tends to stay open as long as the conditions permit, and even with 9″ of fresh snow forecast today, it won’t be enough to stay open much longer.

The resort opened for the season on October 17th, the second resort in the country to open following Wolf Creek, CO, the day before. They have been the only resort open in Colorado since Winter Park closed Mary Jane on May 21st.

The resort will have been operational for 231 days. They saw 262″ of fresh snow this season and currently have a 48″ base.

  1. A Basin why would you close the Lanawee lift, basically making the ski area a park district ski run.. with all the communication devices only a sign at the mid mountain announces the lift is closed. Not a happy guy..
