Arapahoe Basin, Colorado, announced this morning that 2025-26 Ikon Base Pass holders will receive extended unlimited access to the mountain now through Friday, January 16, 2026, a change the resort says is meant to give skiers and riders more opportunity to enjoy early-season turns during a low-snow start. The resort previously offered unlimited Base Pass access only through December 19. According to A-Basin, the decision to push the date into mid-January “was worth extending to give everyone a chance to experience what we have to offer,” citing slower early-season snowfall. The update was first shared through the resort’s communications team and on Al’s Blog, A-Basin’s longtime conditions and operations journal.
Under the revised structure, any days skied before January 16 will not count toward the Base Pass holder’s five allotted days at A-Basin. Beginning January 17 through closing day 2026, Base Pass holders will shift to their standard five-day access. The resort encouraged skiers to take advantage of the added access—and reminded passholders that December 11, 2025, is the final day to purchase an Ikon Pass for the season.
“With this extended access, there should be no question about it,” the resort wrote in a press release. “Snag yours as soon as possible for the most access to The Legend, unbeatable perks, and deep discounts.”
Arapahoe Basin, known for its high-elevation terrain and long spring seasons, remains open on limited terrain while crews work to expand coverage as weather allows.
