Arapahoe Basin, CO Will OPEN Friday, Oct. 17th! | First Ski Resort to Open in USA

Arapahoe Basin ski resort in Colorado just announced at 2:11pm MST that they will be opening this Friday, October 17th, 2014 for the season.  Arapahoe Basin will be the first ski resort to open in North America for the 2014/15 ski season.  Congrats A-Basin!

Arapahoe Basin typically opens in mid-October when there is a solid base of snow on the High Noon trail. Snowmaking generally starts in late September.
