Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Colorado announced that after the great storms this late spring, the resort will offer skiing and riding until June. While the resort has not announced an official closing date yet, it will stay open all throughout May. From June 1, operations will be assessed weekly based on weather and conditions. Guests can follow along with real-time updates on A-Basinโs social media channels and website.
Yesterday, May Arapahoe Basin received 10 inches of snow and a foot the week before that. The ski area has a 66-inch base, aligning with its year-over-year average.
Zuma Bowl, Pali, The Front Side, and The East Wall are open and skiing great. However, resort operations want to remind visitors to stay vigilant and respect all signage and closures. Spring conditions mean that changes to operations may be made spontaneously. With warmer weather, things tend to melt out quickly, and sometimes, underneath the surface, you canโt immediately see. The resort urges visitors to stay inbounds, be aware, and use caution.
There is also still a series of spring events happening at A-Basin:
- Every Saturday until May 26: Shakinโ at the Basin Spring Concert Series
- May 18-19: Gay Basin: Ski & Ride With Pride
- May 25: Alpine Rallye Avant Le Ski
- May 26: Festival of the Brewpubs
So come on down and enjoy some of the very best parts of late spring at The Basin!
