Arizona Snowbowl, the stateโ€™s largest ski resort, is extending its 2024-25 ski season once again, announcing it will remain open through Memorial Day after a late-season storm delivered seven inches of new snow and pushed the season total to 200 inches. The resort will now offer skiing and snowboarding from Friday, May 23, through Monday, May 26, with the Arizona Gondola operating daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as well as May 10โ€“11 and May 17โ€“18. With these four additional bonus days, Snowbowl will close the season with 183 skiable daysโ€”its longest in recent memory.

The extension comes as North America leads the world in open ski areas this spring, with around 20 resorts still operating into May. Arizona Snowbowl stands out as one of the few Southwestern resorts offering skiing this late in the season, made possible by consistent snowfall, cold overnight temperatures, and dedicated grooming teams.

Lift tickets for the bonus weekends start at just $19 when purchased online and include $10 in Bowl Bucks, which can be redeemed for food, drinks, or gear at the resort. Children under 12 ski free, continuing Snowbowlโ€™s commitment to accessible family skiing. 2025/26 season passholders are also eligible to ski the remainder of this season at no additional cost.

The Arizona Gondola will provide access to advanced and expert terrain only, with no beginner runs available during the extension. Terrain park features on the Logjam trail will remain open for freestyle enthusiasts. Resort officials recommend that only confident intermediate and expert skiers attempt the available terrain.

Snowbowlโ€™s latest extension follows a season marked by strong early snowmaking, robust March storms, and a persistent mountain community eager to make the most of every flake. The resortโ€™s โ€œFreedom to Skiโ€ mission continues to resonate with locals and visitors seeking spring turns under sunny skies.
